Ms. Merie is an alumna of the University of Central Arkansas, where she earned her Master's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Growing up in Mississippi as the daughter of a teacher, she developed a passion for working with children of all ages. After witnessing her nephew's struggles with feeding as an infant, Ms. Merie decided to pursue a career as a Speech Language Pathologist. She has been involved in working with children since her teenage years, starting as a part-time nanny and later helping to homeschool a family's children. During college, she worked in childcare and found a special place in her heart for working with children with special needs.
At home, Ms. Merie cares for her own three children and tends to a mini-farm with horses, chickens, dogs, and cats. Real estate and renovating are a couple of her passions. She also enjoys taking her children into nature on hikes, canoeing, and camping during the summer months. When winter arrives, you can find her curled up with a book or a movie, keeping warm alongside her children.
