WE ARE FARRIS THERAPY

As children may receive a diagnosis or demonstrate delays in their development, parents and guardians often worry about how they will be able to best help their child. At Farris Therapy, we understand the concerns behind this process and are set on helping families find what works best for their child. Our goal is to work alongside each family, building a relationship and learning about their child in order to best serve them. We want parents and guardians to know that they are not alone in this journey and we have a strong desire to see your child succeed, just as you do. Our therapists are here to help your child progress using fun and engaging techniques in order to allow them to thrive across each of their environments.

LAUREN FARRIS

Licensed Therapist

Lauren Farris is a licensed and registered occupational therapist who earned a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Central Arkansas. She completed her undergraduate studies at Central Baptist College and the University of Central Arkansas. She has 9 years of experience in a pediatric occupational therapy practice in White County, serving clients ranging from age 3 to 18 years old. These clients were serviced within the school setting, in early intervention programs and in the outpatient clinic.

There are many realms of occupational therapy and Lauren chose pediatrics because of her love for children and her desire to help them succeed. For as long as she can remember, Lauren has always had a place in her heart for kids and knew working with children was something she wanted to make a career out of. As she learned about occupational therapy, along with her years of experience with therapy growing up as a child who was hard of hearing, Lauren knew this was the job of her dreams and worked hard to make it happen. She is passionate about helping families advocate for their kids and helping her clients grow in their confidence and skills.

Having lived in Searcy for several years after completing her graduate program, Lauren is thrilled to be back in her hometown of Greenbrier, practicing within her own clinic. She is married to her husband of 9 years and they have a 4 year old son and a 1 year old daughter. In her spare time, Lauren enjoys traveling with her family, reading, and cooking.
